How to migrate an account from another web host to Hostginger?

You can transfer your website manually to another hosting company. For this you have to perform some basic steps.

• Purchase the new hosting according to your choice from Hostginger Website.
• Download Backup files.

            -Access your control panel on your old hosting account. Go to Files → Backup. To perform the steps Follow this guide.

• Download Website's database.

1. For small sized database you can export database via phpMyAdmin. To do this Follow this guide.
2. For bigger database you can export database via FileZilla. To do this Follow this guide.

• Import the files & database to your new Hosting Account.

2.  For bigger database you can export database via FileZilla on your new Hosting Account. To do this connect FileZilla to your new hosting account & perform the following steps. 

1. Go to the public_html folder in the Remote Site column.
2. Locate the folder you want to upload in the Local Site Column. Right click on the folder & select upload.
3. Open your new Hostginger account’s cPanel and navigate to Databases → MySQL Databases.
4. Create a new database. Follow this guide.
5. Click Enter phpMyAdmin for your newly created database.
6. Click the IMPORT tab on phpMyAdmin page to import files to Hostginger. Follow this guide.

• Point your own Domain Name to the Hostginger nameserver.
• Go through your website before it goes live.
